Quick Still Life Study. Charcoals on 6x8 toned Strathmore paper. Sorry do little work. K has been in the hospital and I've been busy. Might turn this into a pastel painting.

I Don't Give Two Ducks. Soft pastels on 8x10 Pastelmat paper. Sorry about such infrequent art. Life intervenes.

I will mirror here for the time being until eventually transferring here for good.

Velour Sky. Soft pastels, mostly Sennelier and Mount Vision on 6x9 velour paper. This is my 100th piece of art this year. Well slower than my 300+ pace last year. I am hoping to get to 200, but with only 4 months remaining and things being as they are, it seems less likely by the day.

Anyway, some of you have gotten invites to my new FB page. I will be moving all my stuff over there shortly. FB recently banned me for 24 hours, 48 on groups, and then, a week later, told me my posts would be lowered on the feed for 30 days. All for something *they* already decided was perfectly fine.

I'm tired of their crap, and I figure they can't lower me in the feed of my own group. This is basically the last stop before leaving altogether. I don't really feature supporting open corporate fascists, which is all they really are.

If you did not get an invite, drop me a note and I'll send one. In no way do I mean to exclude anyone. I just might have missed you.

How Now Brown Cow. This 9x12 pastel painting was done using pan pastels for the background, and then a combination of Unison, Sennelier, NuPastels, and Mount Visions for the Cow. The surface was a wine colored Pastelmat. Took me about 5 hours total over two nights to finish.

This is very reminiscent of an early cow I did that sold to a friend. Hi, Faye, if you're here. That one was called Blue Moo. That one was a little more experimental. What I wanted to see here was if I could repeat that success. I think I did.

Some artists do almost nothing but the same material over and over. Tree landscapes. Animal portraits. Seascapes. And use the same media over and over. Oils. Pastels. Ink. Me, I like to mix it up. But there is something to be said for *mastering* one thing. And I should probably do that more. Because, frankly, I'm better at things like this than I am at, say, human figure drawing.

This piece is $150, plus $15 s/h. Unframed. God bless.

Well, now. Here you are. This means you're interested in my art. Which shows exceptionally bad taste on your part. Leave now while you still have some self-respect. Anyway, if you insist on staying, be polite, generally speaking, or you will have to be banished to the great unknown with the great unwashed. Otherwise have fun. It's only art. Believe me, if it was as serious and important as some people make it out to be, they wouldn't let the little people like me do it.
