Senior Spotlight: Meet Marlee!

Sweet Marlee got a later start in formal dance instruction, but if she hadn’t told us, we never would have guessed! She has a passion for musical theatre and can often be found starring in productions with many different groups throughout our community.

Her heart for thorough work seems to carry into everything she does. This summer, she worked at a camp, using her spiritual gifts to care for and encourage others.

Marlee is diligent about practicing until she gets it right—not for recognition, but because doing her best matters to her. That dedication stands out! She has some seriously crisp tap sounds, and this year, she’ll take the competition stage with that wonderful crispiness to continue growing her many talents.

We are so glad you chose to dance with us, Marlee, and we are excited to have you as part of our team, girl! 💛

Senior Spotlight—Meet Natalie!

Natalie is one of the sweetest young ladies ever to walk through our doors! She never complains, is always willing to lend a helping hand, and is a wonderfully loyal friend. We have watched her stand as close as a sister beside friends in need.

It makes perfect sense that Natalie wants to become a teacher—her future students will be so blessed! She dances with beautiful poise and emotion, and we are excited to watch her final dances. We’re just praying our remaining time with her doesn’t fly by too quickly!

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT Meet ADDIE!

What we have enjoyed most about watching Addie grow throughout the years is the confidence she has gained! She is a wonderful encourager to her teammates and teachers, and the emotion she brings to her dancing has a way of drawing the audience into every routine.

We also love watching Addie act and sing with her local theater group! Around the studio, she can often be found helping our younger students. Her kind, quiet leadership makes others feel seen, valued, and important. We are so thankful for you, Addie! ❤️

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT Meet Josie!

“NITRO JO” should definitely be her nickname—this girl sings, dances, acts, crafts, and could quite possibly carry on an entire conversation in German—and if not, definitely with a Bronx accent! She is a wonderful friend to so many in her multiple communities!

We joke about Josie having several dance studio homes in her pocket, but we are truly thankful that she has called Soul Steps one of them for the past several years. Josie, you dance with a fierce grace—somehow, that describes you perfectly!

Don’t forget about us when your name is in lights, girl! We can’t wait to see where God and your many talents take you! 💛

Senior Spotlight- MEET HANNAH!

This smile perfectly captures the joy Hannah carries throughout our studio and everywhere she goes! Her love for dance has been clear since the moment she first stepped through our doors.
She may appear serious and focused, but we have definitely seen her silly side too! Hannah is a wonderful role model and an incredible source of encouragement and support for our younger dancers.
And, of course, she has had the very best ballet and solo teacher by her side—her momma! ❤️ We are so proud of you, Hannah!
