Sad News

We have not been on this site for a very long time, but I have been asked to share this with our company.

Our dear Laticia Bell has succumbed to her long health struggles and is now at peace in the arms of the Lord.
We are not sure of the details at this point, but she was in Galveston with her family. She passed on her birthday, November 2nd.
She was a constant force in our company from her freshman year, through her career in every role of the ensemble. She touched countless lives through her work as a Theatre Artist, teacher, colleague, and the most loyal friend.
She has gone to join Saint Genesius in the Inner Circle and will be watching after all of us.
She will be missed.

Thank you all!
Alice and I returned from Bass Hall this afternoon from a delightful musical performance. We had a great time today.
Our wonderful shows last spring with alumnae and students flowed onto our stage after the last performance. You graced our lives with this wonderful gift that we first enjoyed today.
Thank you so much,
John and Alice

It is with great sadness that Alice, James, Michael and I announce the passing of two of our greatest company members.

Terrii Beth Morris died Saturday morning of a heart attack. She came to us in the 1970's starring in every role ever cast. She was among the rare actors who could tackle any role, hold the audience as they held their sides and was so modest about her phenomenal gifts. "Mildred Wilde" and "Penny Sycamore" were two of Alice's favorites.

Dustin Boyd Sautter came to join the company in the 1990's. Last night he too passed away from a heart attack. He blew away every production he touched, which covered decades, even this spring. He was the funniest and quickest of you all, saying things that only he could get away with. But more than his humor, his talent, his pathos on stage, he was a good man. "Big Daddy" and "Orgon" are among the many roles for which he will be remembered by audiences both moved to tears and rolling in laughter.

It will be with heavy hearts that the North Lake Theatre Company will have it's first company meeting tonight in our Performance Hall.

We have just hosted the spring concert of North Lakes'
Dance and Theatre named "Movement and Monologues".

Brenda Parker-Braswell and Alice Butler have been trying to do this joint project for quite some time. Our Dean, Dr. David Evans attended and said " We should have done this a long time ago!" It was a great event with dancers and actors all mixed together.
Then on Saturday Brenda's student choreographers presented their new works. We followed that with monologues and scenes from students and alumni.
It was a wonderful day with so many former students in the audience. And of course it rained...

I screwed up the time for Saturday. It is a Matinee at 2PM. Can't figure out how to get back in to edit it. Stupid machine...
