The Mission of USA Water Polo shall be to grow the sport of water polo throughout the United States and win medals in Olympic, World Championship, and Pan American Games. The federation provides play opportunities for all ages, abilities and commitment levels throughou

t the United States, from sanctioning local tournaments to producing national championships to selecting and training U.S. USA Water Polo provides a platform of comprehensive programming that includes introductory play, club and league activity, premier regional and national tournaments, the U.S. Olympic high performance program AND a commitment to safe play, technical skills and customer service. Through a variety of offerings and initiatives, USA Water Polo fosters a healthy, dynamic environment for our community to learn, grow and compete. With a network of more than 40,000 members and 500 clubs, USA Water Polo oversees one of the fastest growing sports in America. USA Water Polo is honored to receive a 2026 Regional Sports Emmy Award nomination for "Women of the Water: An Olympic Journey."

Mid-America EMMY Awards/NATAS

The series, which chronicles the journey for the U.S. Olympic Women's Water Polo Team to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, aired first on the FanDuel Sports Network.

The producing trio of Suzi Mellano, Greg Mescall and Sherie Key are nominated for their work on the series which debuted in the Mid-America region and later moved to YouTube after an exclusive run on Fan Duel Sports Network.

This is the first-ever Emmy nomination in USA Water Polo history, winners will be announced on October 24 in Overland Park, Kansas.
