✈️ Bringing the Aurora Borealis to life.

We’re incredibly proud to share a closer look at the story behind Alaska Airlines’ striking new Boeing 787 livery, recently brought to life by the talented IAC team at our Fort Worth, Texas hangar.

Inspired by the colours and wonder of the Aurora Borealis, the livery features deep blues, emerald greens and intricate gradients flowing across the aircraft - creating a bold visual representation of Alaska Airlines’ past, present and future.

Executing a design of this scale required incredible precision and craftsmanship. From translating complex fades onto the curved surfaces of the aircraft to ensuring every detail worked in harmony across the fuselage, wings and tail, this was a technically ambitious project and one our team was delighted to be part of.

As the video beautifully highlights, aircraft painting remains an incredibly hands-on process - brought to life by skilled people putting their experience, attention to detail and craftsmanship into every stage.

A fantastic achievement by everyone involved, and especially our IAC Fort Worth team who helped turn this remarkable vision into reality.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the French Pyrenees, the TARMAC AEROSAVE Tourmalet Experience is much more than a cycling challenge. It brings together customers, partners, and colleagues from across the aviation industry to build lasting relationships, share memorable experiences, and enjoy one of cycling's most iconic climbs.

This Fourth of July weekend, International Aerospace Coatings proudly commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States, honoring the nation’s independence and freedom.👏

We are honored to have recently delivered two meaningful Boeing 737 MAX 8 special liveries for one of our most valued customers, Southwest Airlines: Liberty One and Independence One.

IAC first brought Southwest’s Freedom One livery to life in 2021. Five years later, Liberty One continues that patriotic legacy with a similar American flag-inspired design, created in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Independence One features the words “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” on both sides of the fuselage, along with a prominent “1776” - powerful tributes to the Declaration of Independence.

It is a privilege to contribute to such a memorable moment in American history. Thank you to Southwest Airlines and our many other customers for continuing to trust IAC with these important projects.

Introducing Freedom 250!🦅💫

Created in celebration of America's upcoming 250th anniversary, Freedom 250 features a bold design that honours the nation's history while showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail our teams deliver on every aircraft.

From meticulous preparation to the final coat of paint, projects like this reflect the skill, precision, and dedication of our aircraft painting specialists. We are honoured to play a part in helping our customers bring these special liveries to life.
