Simply put, there would be no Dance Lab OC without Laura! As our Creative Director, Laura has been with us since the day we opened our doors six years ago, bringing a rare gift for inspiring students and transforming non-dancers into truly talented performers.

She is renowned for her extraordinary ability to mold dancers into captivating, highly skilled artists grounded in flawless technique. An exceptionally gifted choreographer, she consistently produces brilliant, award-winning routines year after year. While she loves teaching Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Jazz, her commitment to technical excellence is second to none—she truly is the best of the best.

Laura’s dedication touches every single aspect of the Dance Lab OC experience. She works hands-on with her dancers, even custom-designing costumes to bring the artistic vision and storyline of each piece to life. She has curated an incredible faculty of innovative choreographers, and we cannot wait to see the magic her team creates this season!

Since joining our team year 3, Nichole has helped the studio thrive through her vibrant positive energy, incredible organization, and deep passion for the dance community. Bringing a wealth of knowledge to our competition teams, she guides our dancers with expert direction and heart, making an invaluable impact on our studio family every day.

​At Dance Lab OC, Nichole wears many hats and is involved in nearly every aspect of the studio, from day-to-day administration and student enrollment to parent communication, scheduling, competition preparation, and helping bring studio events and programs to life. She works closely with Joyce and Laura behind the scenes to help keep everything running smoothly, while also being present at competitions and cheering on the dancers from the sidelines. For Nichole, one of the most rewarding parts of her role is watching the dancers grow, not only as performers, but as individuals, and she is incredibly proud to be a part of their lives and their journey at Dance Lab OC.

Nichole grew up in Huntington Beach and began her dance training at Orange County Dance Center, where she danced through her sophomore year of high school. Her love for dance and the performing arts has continued throughout her life, eventually leading her to Dance Lab OC, where she has been part of the team since Season III.

Nichole earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Media Marketing through eCornell, Cornell University’s online education program. Outside of the studio, she loves spending time at the beach, traveling to Las Vegas, and enjoying time with friends and family. One of the things she is most passionate about is creating a loving and welcoming environment where every child feels valued, celebrated, and accepted for exactly who they are. Having grown up in the dance world herself, Nichole believes it is important for dancers to recognize their beauty, confidence, and individuality both inside and outside of the studio, as well as throughout their competition journey.

Noelle Snavely has been a big part of our studio's heart and soul since we opened our doors, and we are so proud to welcome her into her 6th year with us!

Dancing since the age of three, Ms. Snavely brings over 20 years of teaching and choreography experience across ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, modern, social, swing, and Latin dance.

She holds both a Master of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of California, Irvine. She is ABT® Certified and holds a Pilates certification from Studio De Corps, seamlessly integrating core strength, alignment, and body mechanics into her classes to build healthy, sustainable technique.

Her extensive career highlights include:

Choreography & Recognition: Choreographed numerous award-winning solos and group routines for our dancers. Competed in the professional division of Palm Desert’s Dance Under the Stars Festival performing Blue Java, and was honored as a top solo performer for her original choreography, The Awakening.

Performance Experience: Performed with Architexture Dance Company, Ballet Pacifica, Maple Conservatory, Dance N' ETC, Fiesta Latina, Orange Coast College, and the UCI Jazz Ensemble.

Stage, Screen & Press: Studied acting with South Coast Repertory, performing in Much Ado About Nothing alongside Tony nominee Douglas Sills. Featured on FOX’s The Great Pretenders, Orange Coast Magazine, and Dance Magazine.

Master Training: Trained under celebrated masters including Donald McKayle, David Allen, Loretta Livingston, Linda Sohl-Ellison, Alaine Haubert, Tong Wang, Diane Diefenderfer, and Molly Lynch.

Known for her patience, creativity, and precision, Noelle adapts her curriculum to current industry standards while fostering an environment where students build confidence, joy, and technical excellence.

Noelle Labbé has been an integral part of our family since the day we opened our studio doors, and she has truly become a powerhouse in the dance industry! Recognized for her unique, innovative, and show-stopping choreography, Noelle is a Southern California native who discovered her passion for dance at age 12.

Her training began at Elevate Dance before she was accepted into the prestigious Mather Dance Company at age 15. There, she honed her skills in ballet, jazz, Latin and classical ballroom, tap, contemporary, modern, lyrical, and hip-hop under industry icons Shannon Mather, Blake McGrath, and Addison Holmes. She also brought her energy and versatility to three elite hip-hop companies: Academy of Villains, Dynasty, and Elev8 Crew.

It was during this high-level training that Noelle discovered her gift for teaching and creating movement, launching her career as a sought-after instructor across Southern California. To complement her technical training, Noelle is certified in Mat Pilates through the Core Arts Pilates Certification Program.

As a talented musician, Noelle brings a deep understanding of rhythm to her work, using her musicality to teach dancers how to map sound and create a captivating movement quality that is widely celebrated by judges and audiences alike.

Her creative vision consistently takes our dancers to the top of the podium, earning numerous overall high scores—including taking home several 1st Overall titles in the Elite Levels, National Championships, and multiple Choreographer of the Year awards! Currently represented by Willow Model Management, Noelle continues to push artistic boundaries and inspire the next generation of dancers.

A Los Angeles native and UCLA Dance alumnus, Marco brings an incredible depth of technical knowledge, artistic versatility, and commercial experience to our studio faculty.

We are thrilled to celebrate Marco Mejia’s 5th year as a valued instructor and resident choreographer at Dance Lab OC!

​Trained across a wide range of disciplines including Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Acrobatics, Marco uses movement to inspire, educate, and empower dancers of all ages. Over the course of his career, he has served as a guest master instructor and/or choreographer for Millennium Dance Complex Orange County, Conventions, Colleges, High Schools, and Studios nationwide. Mejia has also served as a pro-assistant for Dance Masters of America and a resident instructor at Adage Dance Center. Marco has also choreographed for American Idol Finalist La’Porsha Renae and NICArt’s “The Story of Nowruz.”

Throughout his artistic journey, Marco has collaborated with and learned from some of the industry's most influential names, including Erica Klein, Criscilla Anderson, Frankie Grande, Sophia Lucia, Hannah Gallagher, and Keaton Kermode. His background in both performance and high-level training allows him to bridge the gap between foundational technique and cutting-edge contemporary performance.

As a choreographer, Marco’s work consistently sets the standard on the national stage. His pieces with Dance Lab have earned widespread acclaim, including top honors across the competitive circuit. His 2026 "The Garden" routine captured 1st Place National Championships at the highest Elite level, Senior Large Groups, while his Elite Teen Duo achieved a clean sweep at every single competition it attended, culminating in a National title.

Beyond the trophies and accolades, Marco’s true passion lies in mentoring young dancers, fostering their confidence, and helping them realize their full potential both inside and outside the studio. We are honored to have his talent, energy, and dedication at Dance Lab OC for another fantastic year!

Originally from Canada and now based in California, Bella Klassen brings a high level of industry expertise and passion to her teaching.

This will be Bella's 5th year with us!

Her classical background includes training with top programs such as the YYC Dance Project, the Alberta Ballet Professional Division, and Club Dance in Arizona. Early in her career, Bella earned major national recognition on the competitive circuit, receiving titles including Dance Awards Best Dancer and winning the NYCDA National Solo Competition.

Her professional credits extend across television, film, and live performance:

Television & Film: Featured dancer on Season 3 of NBC’s World of Dance and Netflix’s Julie and the Phantoms.

Live Tours: Performed on Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour.

We are thrilled to welcome back Julie Frohman for her 4th year at Dance Lab OC!

Versatile and dynamic, Julie has trained extensively in hip hop, contemporary, jazz, and ballet. She entered the professional industry at just 16 years old and swiftly signed with MSA Talent Agency, rapidly accelerating her commercial dance career.​

Her impressive credits include performing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, dancing alongside Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman), appearing in Chris Brown's "High End" music video, and featuring in Walmart's national back-to-school dance campaign. Beyond her work on camera and on stage, Julie is deeply passionate about traveling the country to teach, mentor, and inspire the next generation of dancers.

The kids love Julie's fun energy!

Erynne Mangsat has been teaching for eight years and is currently pursuing degrees in Dance Choreography and Business at the University of California, Irvine.

We are so excited for this to be Erynne’s second year teaching with us!

She trained at Evoke Dance Movement, Murrieta Dance Project, and Dance Unlimited Performing Arts Academy, where she developed a strong foundation across a variety of styles.

Alongside her studies, Erynne is active in the dance community as a company member with Bare Bones Dance Theater and a dancer on the UCI Spirit Squad!

Beyond performing, Erynne has embraced choreography, most recently creating work for Aerial Achievements’ summer production Tumbling Under the Sea. She is excited to continue sharing her passion for dance, both in the studio and on stage.

Liv Nielsen, a Minnesota native, now resides in Orange County where she is a Senior at Chapman University, earning her BFA in Dance Performance alongside minors in Entrepreneurship and Community Educational Studies. We are thrilled to welcome her back for her 4th year with us!

She began dancing at the age of three and spent her formative years competing across all styles while training under prominent educators including Talya Dozois, Corie Young, Molly Melendy, Alyssa Ness, Derrick Schrader, Laura Sukowatey, Brittani Bartone, Kia Christine, and Matt Hackman. Liv also trained and performed with the pre-professional contemporary company Crash Dance Productions, where she developed an approach to bridging modern and contemporary techniques. Prior to moving to California, she taught at The Vibe Dance and Fitness, a leading boutique studio in the Twin Cities.

Liv began teaching at age 15 and finds her greatest inspiration in helping dancers refine their movement, fluidity, and control. Inspired by the profound impact of her own dance mentors, she aspires to build a lasting career in dance—sharing her knowledge and passion to help young dancers build confidence, character, resilience, and grace.
