Wands Up for Ironton Wizardfest

Dear friends,

What a remarkable spell we have cast together. For seven glorious festivals, you have filled these streets with laughter and the purest kind of magic. The kind born from friendship, imagination, and joy. Together, we have transformed an ordinary city into something quite extraordinary.

Every costume, every class, every spark of creativity was a reminder that wonder still lives in the world. Not just in books or films, but in the hearts of all who believe. And in that belief, you made something truly special here… a family of dreamers, artists, and kindred spirits bound by the simple truth that magic is real when shared.

To those who joined us for a single moment, and to those who have stood beside us since the very beginning, thank you. You are the magic that made this festival come alive.

But take heart, for this is not goodbye… not really.

As all wise wizards know, endings are merely the beginnings of stories yet to be told. Though Ironton Wizardfest has drawn to a close, the magic we made together will echo on. In friendships that endure, in laughter that lingers, and in the next great adventure that awaits us all.

Until then, our friends - mischief managed.

As we write the final riddles, stock the Ironton Prophet's paper boxes with the newest festival edition, and hide the last of the surprises that await you this coming Saturday and Sunday, we realized something rather significant.

From day one, we promised a handcrafted festival made by fans for fans, centered on the shared joy of the story of a famous boy wizard searching for true family. And we did so with an intentional parallel arc: seven years of wonder and then a joyful bow.

This is that moment. Ironton Wizardfest Year 7...

Join us as we write the final chapter of Ironton WizardFest, and celebrate all the beautiful weirdness we have created together.

After this weekend, we’ll do what we wizards do best - disappear for a time - and dream up the next adventure.

Seven years ago, someone truly special from Andromeda Talent in London took a chance on a scrappy small-town festival. She guided us through the hedge maze of booking international guests and became one of the very first members of the Wizardfest family.
