Nature has always been a central core for me whether climbing a 14,00 foot peak in the Colorado Rockies, hiking in the northwoods or enjoying the beaches of the Great Lakes. It is the land of white birch, Lake Superior stones, driftwood. native copper, birch bark and the wonders of the woods. I incorporate these along with other unique natural items into my pottery designs. It is a joy to bring my

I had to wait until now to share this pot. The kids of a dear friend of almost 50 years, commissioned this piece as a surprise birthday gift for their mother. What a privilege to be asked to do this! Being Colorado natives, they wanted the design to include a Colorado columbine, aspens and ruby throat hummingbird.
