Remember when Melissa Wentarmini gathered all those donations while working with the Dickinson Area Community Foundation for the Umbrella Project? It is HERE! And we are doing more than just umbrella's my friends! Read below and be sure to vote for Downtown Iron Mountain Public Art Sky Project under Neighborhood grants! We appreciate your vote and we can't wait to share more about the interchanging art installation we are working on!
Hey, community, guess what? We are introducing something REAL exciting in Downtown Iron Mountain! We are thrilled to announce that we are installing a Downtown Iron Mountain Public Art Sky Installation!
This is what it is all about: We will string wire with bistro lights that will support interchanging art in two places, the alleyway between The First National Bank and Trust and Carlo's Cantina, and across Ludington street from Sandstone Studios to Harry's and The Daily News. Our goal is to create an enticing visual effect to draw people to our downtown!
To help support this exciting new project we have applied for a Michigan Bridge Builders Neighborhood Micro Grant program and we were selected to move to the public voting round! We are asking for your help by clicking this link to vote for our PUBLIC ART SKY INSTALLATION:

We are so grateful for the businesses participating in this installation and the community members who helped us get this rolling: First National Bank & Trust, Sandstone Studios and the tenants who live in the upper condos, Harry’s Plumbing and Heating Supply, The Iron Mountain Daily News, Dickinson Area Community Foundation, Eden Property Collection, The Public Arts Advisory Committee, City of Iron Mountain, Melissa Wentarmini, Claire Valeski, and our crew at the Iron Mountain Department of Public Works. Thank you to the Michigan Municipal League Foundation for this opportunity! THANK YOU!!
Please VOTE! We appreciate your dedication to making Downtown Iron Mountain a vibrant community!
