I’ve always enjoyed painting portraits, and getting to paint a mural with one as the focal point is literally my dream project!

Most of the time I show the final result, but it’s fun to show the steps it took to get there. Even though I love them, faces are such an intimidating thing to paint because every centimeter matters. If you’re barely off, you can definitely tell. It doesn’t always come easy. It takes throwing some paint on the wall, stepping back, adjusting, overthinking, and playing with it til it’s how it needs to be.

Sometimes those are the hardest days, but they tend to be the most rewarding. 🧡

My husband calls me redneck Cinderella, I don’t know about that, but this week I’ve had possums come to visit and the most adorable armadillo you’ve ever seen! It made me think about the armadillo I painted last month at the ccity library… my newest self portrait!🎨

In between all the murals I’ve been painting this summer, we’ve had an exciting life change at home. For the first time, my husband and I own our own house… us and the bank!! 😂

Through the years, I’ve been holding onto paintings, excited to someday decorate our future home with them. Now that that time is finally here, I’ve had so much fun arranging and rearranging until I got everything exactly how I wanted it.

I think it’s the cutest little house, the only issue is… I ran out of wall space!

So I’m offering up these 3 originals that I’ve saved over the years. They’re all acrylic on canvas (two black and white West Texas scenes and one vibrant, colorful cactus painting).

Send me a message if you’re interested! 💛

**Update, everything has sold! Thank you all so much!!**

Spent Labor Day weekend in Albany, TX working hard to bring this mural to life for the beautiful, charming Stone Rabbit Inn! Albany is such a cute little town, and this was such a fun one to paint!!🐇💛

Now that I’ve been going nonstop lately, I think it’s officially time to be lazy for a little bit… the couch is calling my name!🤣

It’s been a busy week, but I finally finished up my latest hometown mural for the Mitchell County Public Library!! 💛🦋📚

It’s been 3 years since I’ve painted in C-City, and it’s been so neat to see how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown since then!

Thank you to everyone who made it possible to bring this happy little painting to the kids’ section of the library! Getting to create something the kids can connect with and enjoy every time they visit makes this one extra special!!

I’m excited to hear which local animal ends up being everyone’s favorite! 😆
