Pool staff training announcement:

All pool staff will have a mandatory staff meeting for all Pool Management, Lifeguard and Clerks, for all returning staff and new applicants on Monday 20 April 2026 @ 4:30pm. Location will be at The Iowa Park Pool and Spray Park located at 805 N. 4th St, Iowa Park Texas.

Lifeguard training for all new lifeguards and returning lifeguards who need to be certified/recertified will be on Monday 20 April 2026 @ 4:30pm. Training will begin immediately after the staff meeting. Please bring your swim gear and a towel and be ready to get into the water. Lifeguard training will be every night from April 20th-April 24th at The Iowa Park Pool and Spray Park located at 805 N. 4th St, Iowa Park Texas.

At the meeting, we will schedule training for all new clerks and for returning clerks who need a refresher.

'Tis the season! Don't miss the community blood drive going on now in the Starbuck's parking lot. They are hoping for 20 donors today and have only had 1 so far. They are there until 2PM. You can give a life saving gift and get a cool T-shirt!

Fish Fest starts today at 0900!!

Lake Gordon in Iowa Park will be stocked once again with adult-size channel catfish on Thursday October 16th, and the lake will be temporarily closed to fishing in preparation of the annual Fish Fest which will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2024. This popular event is sponsored by the Iowa Park Community Development Corporation and many other organizations. This event will start at 9:00 a.m. and is FREE for participants 16 and under. Prizes and trophies will be awarded by age categories (6 and under, 7 to 11 and 12 to 16. There will also be randomly drawn prizes. A free lunch of hotdogs, chips, cookies and drinks will be provided for all participants. A copy of the brochure with registration can be obtained from City Hall, Tom Burnett Library, or print it by clicking here. The form must be completed and turned in at the event. The waiver of responsibility must be signed by parents or legal guardians. Fishers may bring their own equipment; however, the Texas Junior Anglers will also provide all necessary equipment and bait. The lake will be open to fishing by the general public at noon, immediately following the event. All state, federal and local game and fish laws apply and must be observed.
