The Afro American Cultural Center, also known as the Afro House, was established in 1968. The Afro House supports the mission of the University by providing a safe space for cultural and identity development, a "home away from home," leadership and organizational development, intra- and cross-cultural exchange, and social justice transformation for the greater University community, with a primary
focus on students. We have computers, printing (up to 10 pages) wireless internet, books, flat screen tv, vcr/dvd/cd player, Nintendo Switch, a full service kitchen, a quiet study space, lounge room--anything you need to host a program, make a meal, study, relax, socialize with friends, and essentially have a "Home Away from Home." The center is not currently taking any reservations for events, meetings, programming, etc. but you are welcome to come and hang out and/or study with other students.
