The Iowa Women's Music Festival is produced by Prairie Vocies Productions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. The 2014 Iowa Women’s Music Festival — the 21st — will be held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Iowa City, IA, on September 27. es.net. Tickets are not required with the exception of the Suzanne Vega concert at the Englert Theatre. All performances will be ASL interpreted. Everyone is invited to enjoy two action-packed days at the Johnson County Fair Grounds. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend all of our events. Performers reflect many points of view and life experiences; a diversity of ideas and topics are explored and discussed in a safe environment. The festival strives to promote arts and culture that reflect the experience of women as it is constructed in our culture. We work to create a safe space for artistic expression. The day stage is intended to be a family friendly event.
