🥊 ADULTS VS YOUTH 🥊

For the first time ever, IC Speaks (the Iowa youth team) is competing against io-what (the Iowa adult team)!!

We went to Boston to represent Iowa at the NorthBeast Regional Poetry Festival, took home second place and Best Group Piece, and now we’re ready to show you what we’re made of!

We love the youth team, but we’re gonna bring the heat 🔥🎤

See you on September 7th at 6:30 p.m. at The James Theater in Iowa City!

WE’RE BRINGING BACK 2ND PLACE🥈 AND BEST GROUP PIECE!! Iowa, we came out here to show them what we do, and we did that. Thank you so much to all of our donors for getting us here, to NorthBeast Regional Poetry Slam 🎤 for having us, and to all of our fellow poets for being inspirational and loving. We love all of you!

Your Iowa adult slam team is heading to Boston to compete in the NorthBeast Regional Poetry Festival at the end of July! But we need some help getting there. Travel, lodging, and food are our biggest costs for this trip. Any amount you are able to donate makes a huge difference for us!
