It's a good thing Kaeden showed up to bowl this morning for family doubles, but mom and dad had troubles helping out. We did enjoy our time together so at least we have that.

Today started with a 330 am alarm and on the road at 4 to head to Council Bluffs for the 3rd Tour stop for the NEYBP bowling tournament with an extremely hard dual pattern. They have 32 lanes and there were approximately 4 kids on each lane. So the place was packed. Kaeden started the day off really rough but started to figure things out the 3rd game. By the end of the 3rd game he was below middle of the pack and 57 pins out of the cut. The 4th game was amazing and he shot 262 which kicked him clear to 3rd place and then shot a 238 for the 5th and final qualifying game. What an amazing comeback! So he qualified 3rd for step ladders and had a great first game and won and then faced Mason Loria in the semis. It was an amazing battle and Mason struck twice in the 10th forcing Kaeden to have to double in the 10th. The first ball was dead on, the second was square in the pocket ringing the 10 pin and he lost by 6 pins. Mason went on to win the next match and take his first NEYBP title. We finally made it home at 845 pm and straight to bed for mom and dad. Congratulations also today to Max Dailey and Aadyn Oden on a great day as well. I love to watch these U16 boys battle it out. Todays main balls of choice were the Storm Bionic on the long pattern and the Storm Concept on the short. Storm Bowling

Quite the day today in Clinton at the first Dan Miner Quad Cities High School Scholarship Tour stop. 19 boys competed in six games of qualifying and Kaeden took the top spot shooting 1450. This put him on the top of the step ladder and had to watch 3 matches before he could compete. His buddy and teammate Tate Richart made it through to the finals and Tate bowled an awesome championship game to beat Kaeden. Nothing to hang the head on today. Great job today to the other friends that were there as well. Gavin Nelson Kinnick Robinson Mason Loria Tate Richart. The bowling balls used today were Storm Next Factor, Ion Pro Solid and the Ion Max. Storm Bowling

Dad had to work today so I wasn't able to go to league. Fortunately the boy sent me some videos and scores from the morning. 255, 225 and 266 for a 746 series. Way to kill it son. It's not easy holding onto a 244 average! The balls of choice were the Storm Bionic and the Roto Grip Hustle X-Ray. Storm Bowling

A pretty darn good day on the lanes for The Keglers. The team shot a scratch score of 2520 with four bowlers. Kaeden rolled a 246, 248 and 228 for a 720 series for the first week of league. Great job fellas!

A little rough today. Maybe the next one will go better.
