1/10 SCALE MEETS FULL SCALE!

One of the coolest things about racing at The Krater is seeing just how connected the racing community can be, no matter what size car you’re wheeling!

Thanks to our friends at I-96 Speedway, we’ve got one of their full-size Modifieds hanging out with us at The Krater for the month of September! It’s been awesome watching racers check it out up close, compare it to the 1/10 scale cars we race on the weekends, and of course grab a few pictures with it.

This past weekend we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to gather up Krater Nation for a group photo around the car. Annnddd with Points Race #7 coming up next, we might just have to put that Modified to work as the backdrop for our podium photos!

We’re extremely thankful for the relationship we’ve built with I-96 Speedway and for them supporting what we do here at The Krater. Full-size or R/C, we’re all racers at heart and partnerships like this help bring the two worlds together.

Hopefully this isn’t the last time we get to have one of these sitting outside The Krater! 👀

🏁 I-96 SPEEDWAY HAS HOOKED UP KRATER NATION! 🏁

We have to give a HUGE thank you to I-96 Speedway, one of our 2026 season sponsors, for bringing their full-size race car out to The Krater for the month of September!

The car will be on display out front, so make sure you take some time to check it out up close, grab some pictures, and get a good look at the real thing. 👀🏎️ And who knows… we might just have to work it into a few podium pictures while it’s here! 🏆

🃏 DEALERS CHOICE — CASH IS ON THE LINE! 💰

It’s Dealers Choice week at The Krater! This Saturday, September 5th, we’re putting $1,500 CASH back into the hands of the racers, along with a full day of racing across all of our regular classes!

💰 $500 CASH DASH
Street Stock • Limited Late Model • 360 Sprint

1st — $250 | 2nd — $125 | 3rd — $75 | 4th — $50

The top four qualified drivers in each of those classes will draw cards for their Cash Dash starting positions. The Dash will take place between qualifying and the feature round, and neither the draw nor Cash Dash finish will affect the starting order for the A-Main.

🃏 A LOOK BACK AT LAST YEAR

Last year’s Cash Dashes gave us some GREAT racing!

🏁 Street Stock: Michael Barnes came from 4th to take the win, followed by Jack Reeve, Chuck Alarid and Scott McNett.

🏁 Limited Late Model: Jaws took the win, followed by Michael Althoff, Zachary Lutz and Scott Heiler.

🏁 360 Sprint: Scott Heiler made an early move to grab the top spot, followed by Jack Reeve, Scott McNett and Mike Ford.

Who puts their name at the top this year? 👀💰

🏁 WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Friday, September 4th
Practice: 5:30PM – Lights Out

Saturday, September 5th
Doors Open: 8:00AM
Timing System On: 9:00AM
Track Closes/Drivers Meeting & Track Prep: 11:30AM
Racing follows!

Pit spots are available inside with power and seating, and spectators are always welcome and FREE!

Entry is $25 first class, $15 second class and $10 each additional class.

And don’t let the Michigan weather scare you away! 🌧️ The track is covered and ready to race RAIN OR SHINE!

⚙️ IMPORTANT MOTOR TECH REMINDER

ALL motors must go through tech when you arrive, even if they’ve previously been checked.

Limited Late Model & 360 Sprint: Bring your JuStock motor to tech unsoldered and out of the car.

Street Stock: 13.5 ROAR motors must have the pinion removed, with the rotor/motor information easily readable. Both your MOTOR AND ROTOR must be on the ROAR approved list.

🏁 OPEN PRACTICE — SATURDAY, AUGUST 29TH!

Come hang out at The Krater from 9AM–5PM for a full day of practice! Just $10 per driver with the timing loop running all day.

Registration will be open all day at the scoring tower, so please check in and pay when you arrive before hitting the track.

Bring the RTR cars, get some laps in, ask questions, help each other out, and get those cars even more dialed in! 🔧🏁 A perfect tune-up before the Dealers Choice Race on September 5th!

We’ve got TWO big race weekends coming up, and they’re bringing two completely different kinds of action!

💰 SEPTEMBER 4–5 — DEALERS CHOICE
Trophies, bragging rights, and OVER $1,500 IN CASH PAYOUTS!
360 Sprint, Limited Late Model & Street Stock drivers will battle it out in a Dash for Cash between qualifying and the mains. 💵🔥 All other classes will still be ran as usual.

🚫🪽 SEPTEMBER 25-26 — FAST IZZY’Z WINGLESS
Time to take the downforce away and see who can really wheel one! 360 Sprint goes WINGLESS and Limited Late Model goes TOPLESS. Same dirt. Different cars. Whole different challenge. All other classes will still be ran as usual.

Two weekends. Two unique races. Plenty of reasons to get those cars ready.
