It's always amazing that after a year of planning and effort, Pine Camp comes and goes in a single weekend--and what a weekend! Although I can jokingly (but also honestly) say that this was one of the ten best Pine Camps ever, it really was one of the very best. Y'all are such wonderful people, and you brought so much joy and love.
A special shout-out to the folks who keep coming back year after year, seeing what we are trying to do and helping us make it happen. Many thanks to our new visitors, we hope you had an amazing time and that you'll bring your friends next time!
To all the bands--what can I say? Thank you! We strive to make this a festival where musicians are honored guests, where you want to hang out and enjoy the party both before and after your set. I know that sometimes you just have to hit the road again to get to the next gig, but know that you're always welcome back and we hope you stay a while!
Once again, our volunteers did such an amazing job that the three of us who organize everything else hardly had to do a thing at the gate. Considering that I spent the first three or four Pine Camps being the main gate person and hardly every got to check out the stage, this has been an amazing transformation--and allows me to be an MC! (Remember those years when we didn't have anyone to announce the next band, and they just had to do it themselves? I'm so glad we are past that.) And speaking of the stage, Colin you absolutely ruled the sound board. Every band sounded amazing. Well done, sir!
We'll be posting more, but please add photos, videos, or any comments that you want to share with us! Since our old page got hacked and deleted, we are building from the ground and greatly appreciate your likes and comments!
Here's a little Ifdakar to get you back in the groove!
