📢 The Governor spoke today and issued some new regulations which includes winter sports. So, we wanted to give you any information that we can at this time as to how that impacts activities here at Parks & Recreation, especially if you have already registered or planned to register for the upcoming winter leagues.

Currently, we do have fall clinics and activities that are underway and those are allowed to continue through to the end, barring any more restrictions from the state or local health departments. However, we had already started registering for winter basketball and winter futsal (indoor soccer) which had dates for registration deadline, drafts, practice and game starts. Those dates will now need to be pushed out to coincide with January 11, 2021 date the Governor gave to resume. Since this information has just been announced, we have not yet been able to determine what those new dates will be. But, we will continue to register with full hope that we can still hold the season and do so safely. We expect to have those dates and any other important information for you sometime next week.

ℹ Side note regarding registration refunds for winter basketball and futsal: In the event further regulations are issued prior to the start of the season that prevents us from being able to hold the leagues, we will fully refund those registrations. If we are able to hold the season and COVID-19, the Governor’s color-coded county
map, or snow prohibits us from playing at least 40% of the season, we will provide pro-rated refunds. Otherwise, no refunds will be given.
