Hey Everyone,
With the raindrops falling all around me, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a bit about my journey in art and life.
In 2010 after competing for four years as a Division 1 tennis player at Western Kentucky University, I began working with an international tennis management company running tennis programs at luxury resorts and hotels. After stints living in SoCal, Upstate New York, the virgin islands, Hawaii, and Mexico, and a six-month hiatus to explore mountaineering in Patagonia, I have landed in Napa, California, which has been my home since 2015.
Living and experiencing life in these incredible destinations was the impetus to begin my journey as a photographer. I bought my first real camera upon my arrival in northern California, borrowed a friend's car for the weekend, and spent a long weekend in the natural cathedral of Yosemite. Since that trip, I have been obsessed with exploring California and have fallen in love with this epically gorgeous coast.
My work is largely based around the ocean, and more often than not, I use my camera as a paintbrush utilizing motion and a slow shutter to reduce the horizon to a simple color palette. After stumbling upon this style of photography a few years ago, it quickly became my primary pursuit due to its unique aesthetic and the ultimate creative freedom I have while creating these images.
Since then, largely due to the amazing people in my circle, I have had successes in art I never would’ve thought were possible, and I couldn’t be more stoked to continue the journey.
Thank you all for your love and support.
