MEET OUR MUSIC DIRECTOR for SISTER ACT!!!

Momoko Tanno (she/they), is a singer/actor/teacher with an M.M. in Vocal Performance from the U of M Twin Cities. Momoko is thrilled to join the Simley Theatre as a vocal director! Momoko’s performing credit includes M. Butterfly (Guthrie Theater), Madama Butterfly (Tacoma Opera), The Song Poet (Minnesota Opera), The Tales of the Odyssey (Mixed Precipitation), Figaro, Carmen, Don Juan Giovanni (Theater de la Jeune Lune, American Repertory Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater), Camelot (Chanhassen Dinner Theatres), Walleye Kid, Little Night Music, Pacific Overtures (Theater Mu/Park Square Theater), and The Story of Crow Boy (In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre). Momoko has vocal directed and/or taught voice lessons at MacPhail Center for Music, University of Wisconsin River Falls, Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, North St. Paul HS, and currently teaches private lessons at K&S Conservatory of Music in Woodbury.

We are looking for 2+ strong volunteers. We will be decanting and then re-organizing the large and very high shelves. Moving doors, large flats and heavy staging flatforms. Given the time, we will also organize the wood stock.

Must wear close toed shoes, ideally steel-toecaps , and bring gloves if you desire. No tools are needed.

Alexander Morgan is the Technical Director at Simley High School Performing Arts Center. He also works with his local community theater, Black Dirt Theater in Hastings, as a Props Master, Carpenter, Operator and Deck Captain.
Alexander is originally from Scotland, UK, where he attained his Bachelors Degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, specializing in Lighting & Sound Design. Alex worked as an events technician for over 10 years working on anything from corporate functions to sporting events and assisting with the many shows at the infamous Edinburgh Festival.
Alexander lives with his wife and two sons, ages 10 and 14. Alexander’s family shares an appreciation for nature, and they are currently working on planting an all-native garden with a focus on firefly habitat.
Alexander is excited to bring his diverse experiences and skills, with the goal of maintaining and ensuring the Simley Arts Center as a high-class performance venue and educational establishment.

SISTER ACT Audition Registration Deadline: September 10

Friendly Reminder:

The audition registration form will close promptly on September 10, and audition time slots are filling quickly. Cast size is limited.

Students are not guaranteed an audition opportunity unless they have completed and submitted the required audition registration form by the deadline. Once the form closes, no additional registrations will be accepted.

Students will be able to fill out audition form on the day of auditions at the audition table.
