Having worked for the for 10 years before starting Rooted in Light Media, it was a pleasure to return to their Maine Wilderness Lodges last week to shoot some marketing videos for them with and . Over four days, our rockstar video team captured some amazing footage from the air and the ground and interviewed the people who've made this area into what it is today. Keep an eye out later this year for the rollout of these shorts films. In the meantime, here's a peek behind the scenes of the production.
1. A snow-covered landscape greeted us as we entered Greenville, Maine.
2. Packing for an extended trip to a location that is only accessible by cross-country skis and snowmobiles was a challenge, but we found a way to fit everything in Jerry's Jeep. Now, to fit it all in the totes to be pulled by snowmobile to the camps.
3. Success! Everything fits and we're headed to Little Lyford Lodge and Cabins to begin our first day of shooting.
4. Joe and I channel our inner modeling skills as Jerry (next photo) gives us direction on where to snowshoe across Little Lyford Pond.
5. Jerry prepares for some long-distance shooting as we cross the pond.
6. Our first morning at the camps included a stellar sunrise and some fairly seasonable temperatures to film in.
7. Without a solid surface to launch the drone off of, Joe prepares to take off from his hand. Nobody was hurt!
8. AMC's Steve Tatko and Walter Graff discuss the video script as Jerry dials in his camera settings.
9. Jerry records Liz Holden and Matt Morris from AMC's marketing team skiing on some freshly groomed trail.
10. That's a wrap! Jerry dons his helmet and aviators before taking our 8-mile snowmobile trip back to the cars.
