Tonight, Edmonia is showing on Detroit Public Television! Tune in at 10:00pm to see our world premiere production of this hybrid opera by Dr. Bill Banfield. It tells the story of 19th century sculptress Edmonia Lewis through a multi genre musical idiom.

It was such an honor to co-direct this production with my partner in art Justin Lee Miller, and an incredible team colleagues and designers.

Bravi to Amber Merritt and Sydney James Harcourt, our amazing guest artists, and our INCREDIBLE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS who brought this piece to life through their hard work, creativity, and perseverance. Only at Interlochen!

HGO's Concert of Arias is our revered annual singing competition where the rising stars of opera vie for an invitation to join the renowned Sarah and Ernest Butler Studio. Previous winners include Ana María Martínez, Joyce DiDonato, Ryan McKinny, Tamara Wilson, and more!
