A round of bottlestoppers headed to The Maker's Market, LLC . One of these would go well with a bottle of wine. Maybe even part of a valentines gift .
304 stainless steel bases with viton o-rings and wood tops from various woods . Walnut, oak, pear, cedar, and cherry. I’m a big fan of the cherry one.
The walnut came from the side of the road (on the way to the landfill. Cherry from a goat farmer clearing her field. Oak from our old land plot. The pear was from our yard. The cedar was scraps from an urn I turned many years ago.

Natural Edge Cherry Burl bowl.
Roughly 9” diameter x 5” deep.
The burl was given to me many many years ago. I finally turned it and gave it to the person who gave it to me as a house warming gift this Christmas.
This bowl turned out great with loads of character and awesome natural edge. The pictures don’t do it justice, but they never do.

Roughed out some spoon blanks for a little break from turning. This is locust wood fueled from the hurricane. First time carving it. Chops up pretty good with the hatchet. Hopefully the knife and hook knife carve as well.

Put “Mr Jimmy’s” bandsaw through its paces and really dulled a blade down tonight. Cut a dozen blanks round. Some oak, pecan (of course), and some cherry. Diameters range from 12” to 8”. They’re wrapped in plastic wrap to keep them from cracking (hopefully) until I can rough them out later this week. I usually coat them with endgrain sealer, but I am trying this method out to conserve the sealer.
