A recent study from the National Institutes of Health suggests that regularly listening to house music, especially in the 120–130 BPM range, may be linked to slower biological aging, with some findings pointing to differences equivalent to up to six years.

Researchers reviewed brain imaging and genetic data from more than 35,000 participants and observed several patterns. House music listening was associated with lower cortisol levels, a hormone tied to stress and accelerated aging. Participants also showed improved heart rate variability (HRV), a key indicator of cardiovascular health and longevity, along with increased brain activity connected to cognitive function.
