🎉 Happy New Year Music Makers!! 🎉

Next Monday, January 12th, 2026 we begin our JMA winter sessions. These classes are geared towards improving overall musicianship and will focus on singing, moving, playing, and for some, learning a new instrument!

1st & 2nd graders - Mondays with Mrs. J 🎶
4:30-5:15pm (4 spots left)

3rd-6th graders - Beginning Ukulele
5:15-6:00pm (5 spots left)

Mrs. J will be offering a musical enrichment opportunity for young music makers this winter. Sing! Sing! Sing!

It’s hard to believe we’ve wrapped up our 2025 fall semester. Our concert was last weekend and I’m still smiling about it! Thank you kids and families!

Special thanks to our friends at Lula Belle for designing this year’s JMA performance tees. My music makers looked sharp!!

And lastly, big thanks to our friends at St. Thomas Aquinas and Des Moines Metro Opera. Thank you for always being so welcoming to my youth choirs.

I’m feeling especially grateful during this season and wishing everyone a beautiful holiday!

Winter 2026 JMA classes are on the website and open for registration. 1st-3rd graders can sign-up for Mondays with Mrs. J and I’m also offering a beginning ukulele class for 3rd-6th graders. All details & dates are listed and if you have any questions, please reach out.

**I will be placing an order for the ukuleles soon. My hope is to have the instruments here & ready to gift for Christmas.**

It's TIME!!!

JMA youth choir registration is now open for fall 2025. Spots are limited so please check out the link below and get your 1st-6th grade singer signed up today. Let the music making begin!

Registration is open to all1st through 6th Grade Students. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration and material fees are non-refundable. Enrollment will not be considered complete until fee payment is received.

It was an absolute pleasure watching a few of my JMA and Irving students in Des Moines Metro Opera’s production of The Cunning Little Vixen. Our friends at DMMO know how to really WOW their audiences. The show was truly spectacular!!

Congratulations Hattie, Callen, Fred, Elliot, & Clara. 🫶 I am incredibly proud of you and keep making music! 🎶
