Kitten update for those following along: The incredible Laura (Pen and Pink Vintage) has been our resident cat whisperer these last few days! She’s managed to wrangle this spicy Little Guy™️ without any dramatics, and has gotten us started on the path of socializing him and helping him understand that he’s safe!
He’s still probably got a long way to go, but it’s a start! If you see our little buddy around while you’re shopping, be easy on him, he’s still pretty skittish. But all the flowers and gratitude to Laura for her magic touch!

This week’s featured artist is SmolBeanCo (Smol Bean Co.)! They are a Cincinatti based artist who has been with us from the very beginning, and they’re just the sweetest soul with a passion for creation and bringing light to people’s lives.
The shop is full of their work, ranging from whimsical to edgy to downright adorable and everything in between! We’ve got jewelry, keychains, crocheted goods, truly something for everyone’s taste!
Check out all of the beauty they’ve contributed to the community here at the shop, we’ll be here from 11-7 Wednesday - Sunday!

Welp, we took a poll on if we should carry watercolor pans or watercolor tubes. There was only a 2% sway…..

So we decided to carry both! Thanks to the recommendation from the great Christen Baker we have decided to sell Federal Color watercolors, inks, vintage calligraphy nibs, cigarette pencils, and so much more! We personally tested each item rigorously and loved each one!

Before we had even opened our first box from Federal Color, Jingo M. de la Rosa came in looking for supplies. We couldn’t think of a better person to be the first purchaser of our newest product!

Here’s a condensed description from Federal Color of their DIY facility:
“Federal Color is all about combining the strengths of indie retailers, small manufacturers, the fine art community, and the craft community. We manufacture our own colors; we collaborate with other manufacturers; we distribute a curated selection of imports; and we provide a range of support services for independent art supply stores.”

Hey y’all, listen up!

This coming Saturday, August 1st, Harlot Apothecary will be hosting a Solar Fast workshop conducted by the wonderful 𝕲𝖗𝖔𝖚𝖓𝖉 𝕷𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖑! Don’t know about Solar Fast? We’ve written up a little informative post to explain more about the process to you, and give more information on the logistics of the workshop itself!
Wanna join in on the fun? You can email [email protected] before Thursday, July 30th, expressing your interest in the workshop, and if you’d like, include an image in your email that you’d like to print onto a tote bag!
Tickets are $35 per person with drinks, snacks, and all necessary materials included! Don’t have an image you want to print? No worries! We’ll have some premade negatives for you to choose from!

Rezi is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on lino printing, leatherwork, painting, sewing, button making, you name it! They are a student at Herron School of Art + Design, and find heavy inspiration in themes such as rabbits, le***an symbols, and the color red!
We’re so stoked to have Rezi’s art in our space! Come take a look at all they have to offer down at the shop!
