Creativity doesn’t retire. 🎨🌿

Seniors Stay Creative invites older adults to explore art making in The Studios at Newfields alongside fellow lifelong learners. Each guided session is inspired by exhibitions on view in the IMA Galleries, with new themes and mediums throughout the summer.

Upcoming themes include Efflorescence in June, America’s 250th in July, and Impressionism Across Generations: The Pissarro Family Legacy in August.

Join us for one class or make it part of your season.

Three generations. One artistic legacy. 🎨

Impressionism Across Generations: The Pissarro Family Legacy opens tomorrow at Newfields, bringing together works by Camille Pissarro and his sons Lucien and Georges from the IMA’s permanent collection for the very first time. The exhibition explores how one family helped shape the future of modern art through color, experimentation, and collaboration. 🌿

Tomorrow evening, join us for a special panel discussion with author and scholar Alex Chipkin and Newfields Curatorial Assistant Sadie Arft for a deeper look into the exhibition and the Pissarro family legacy.

One of the most iconic works at Newfields is getting a little TLC. 🦴🌿

Funky Bones, the beloved installation in The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park that many recognize from the film adaptation of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars, is undergoing conservation work to keep it looking its best for years to come.
