I hope all of our Winding Ridge Mom’s and Mother figures had a wonderful Mother’s Day!!💜🌺 Our Phoenix artists were hard at work last week filling papers with love and appreciation for all you do!!

1st grade Artists created portraits, illustrations, and paint collages connected to lyrics and songs for their performance. Phoenix scholars explore different media and multi step processes allowing them to practice focus, hand eye coordination, expression and lots of fun singing along the way. 🎶🎨 And a surprise bonus after the performance on the playground to celebrate a great show! The sky painted us a rainbow 🌈 and small raindrops fell like lemon drops!!

For Valentine’s Day Winding Ridge connected again with Veterans to send cards and messages through Congressman Carson’s office.

This year we received an email sharing the impact our young artists made within our Community. The Indianapolis VA Medical Center sent a heartwarming message of appreciation.

“We are incredibly grateful for your support and kindness. These acts of kindness not only brighten the day of our Veterans but also reinforce the bond between generations, showing our Veterans that they are respected and cherished by the younger generation.”

Art brings joy to all those around you.

4th grade artists learned about the life and art style of Vincent Van Gogh. They created Fall Landscapes utilizing space(foreground, middle ground, background) stylized mark making, and warm colors to fill their pages with oil pastels. 🍁 Phoenix Artists well done!

Here is our slideshow to honor the Veterans past and present of Winding Ridge families.

5th grade scholar’s performance today was one to remember. Scholars worked hard and put their hearts into every song, dance, and speech. And what an honor to have an active soldier and parent to a Winding Ridge scholar give a inspirational speech to us all about acts of service and kindness we can do each day.
