Please join us at STORAGE SPACE 121 E. 34th St. on 10/16 • 6p-10p for FLOW

Gary Gee • Johnson Simon • Israel Solomon
Featuring documentary work by Chris Wilborn

FLOW brings together Gary Gee, Johnson Simon, and Israel Solomon—three Indianapolis artists with distinct visual languages connected through culture, movement, storytelling, and lived experience.

Moving between abstraction and figuration, painting and sculpture, gesture and symbolism, each artist approaches movement differently. Simon explores the energy of the body through expressive color and gesture. Solomon builds dynamic compositions through geometry, color, figures, and environment. Gee combines sculpture, illustration, cultural sampling, and mixed media to create layered objects and characters rooted in identity, history, hip-hop, and contemporary culture.

Connected through Chris Wilborn’s documentary Moving With the Spirit, FLOW continues that conversation inside the gallery—exploring how three individual creative journeys can move independently while remaining part of a shared cultural rhythm.

Different experiences. Different languages. One continuous flow.

We don’t post about the MINI gallery as much as we should. Lately someone has taken an extra interest into it and glues ceramic figurines into it. They stay for awhile longer due to the glue. But eventually someone else comes along and either adds to the figurines or takes the figurines. The figurines are usually on the “wholesome” spectrum. This mornings addition was a little different. I LOVE ART AND ARTISTS!!!! :)
I had to document it fast because i doubt it will stick around. Someone will think it’s either funny and want it or think it’s inappropriate and take it. Either way, it’s probably doomed, and won’t be there very long. Thank you to all those who interact with the MINI gallery.

Guest Curation is happening at STORAGE SPACE on September 4th, one night only. They’re not messing around, At The Tone Collective presents I’M BEING SERIOUS. I lot of silly stuff has been taking place lately. This show is going to combat that with serious artistic curation. Let it be known this is some seriously serious art. You might think it’s kinda silly to be so serious, but it’s seriously not. I’M BEING SERIOUS 5p-6p library quiet hour 6p-10p seriously not as quiet.
