Excited to dust off my needles and teach tonight! I love teaching beginners to knit- there is no better feeling than watching it "click" for students and boom- a knitter is born! I'm teaching at at 6 tonight, and again on Saturday. See you there!

Eloise L'Escargot is a fun little lady who likes to eat fancy salads and go for long, slow walks on the leaf. She's also hoping to be your next knitting project! Pattern is now available on Ravelry!

Pattern is worked in worsted weight yarn but can easily be changed for a bigger or smaller Eloise. Sample is shown in Manticore Main. And... word on the street is that a KAL is coming soon with an Indiana yarn shop- stay tuned for more information!

The last half of January is flying by at warp speed! This Saturday I'll be lecturing? Chatting? Teaching? I'll be giving a presentation on Fiber Arts & Folklore at ! I'll also have some of my alter-ego's books to sell . I also published a pattern today! I made a fun little snail out of some Manicore Main and you can find Eloise L'Escargot this weekend in the BaH booth at FIBRuary! (Winter Woolies- don't buy the pattern- you get it for free). Also, lots of Winter Wooly prep, which I can't show you, so here's a picture of my spinning project. See you at FIBRuary!!

Thank you so much to the wonderful fiber artists of the ! I had so much fun last night! I'd love to see your finished pillows/cowls/projects when you're finished.

Next up, I'll be at on Saturday Jan 31. I'll be giving a little lecture/chat on Fiber Arts and Folklore- the role of fiber arts in fairy tales and literature, and the stories we tell with yarn. It's a little history, a little symbolism, a little etymology- it should be a fun time!

After that, it's the Winter Wooly Retreat! So if you see me with a deer-in-the-headlights look anytime in the next month, just know that it will pass and that I absolutely brought this upon myself.

So excited for my first ! The organizers were kind enough to let me pick a super needy topic for my fireside chat! Join me on the 31st at 2:45 for a lesson on fiber arts & folklore- the role and symbolism of fiber arts in fairy tales and the classics. So excited!
*this isn't a class! We're just hanging out and chatting, bring a project to enjoy while we're together!

One of my Winter Woolies came over yesterday to play on the drum carder and I thought since it was out and the floor was covered in veg matter, I might as well finish the Tunis fleece that I started a very long time ago. Plum wanted to help. Note- it looks like I sheared my dog for this fiber. It is from a sheep. Not a dog. No Plums were sheared in the making of this post.

Madeline is hard at work on the budgeting side of Winter Wooly (Feb 6-8 at the Brown County Inn). Working out pricing on class supplies and Goodybag items! Hoping to open up registration in a few weeks to old friends, and a couple weeks later to new faces! We have some really fun and different classes planned for 2026. Stay tuned!
