Photos brought to you by Scott Perry of Braaap City Digital. What a fantastic run the Mid America team had. 15 years of some great FlatTrack, Speedway and Quad Racing. Thank you Jim Terchilla and the entire crew that gave of them selves week after week in order to give these Pro Riders, A mature Riders, Weekend Riders and most of all the kids who are up coming stars of these sports a fantastic place to race. Mid America ran some prestigious events over the years including the AMA Nationals, The Speedway Boarderwars, Mulitble Astro-Cup events among many, many others. This track gave several of the #1 American Flat Track teams a place to practice prior to major events like the Indy Mile such as Harley Davidson and Indian.
Several professional riders who call Mid-America their home Track are still running the AFT series in both Singles and The Big Boy Club. Riders like Kevin Stollings, Kasey Sciscot, Jemeriah Duffy, Trent Lowe, Joey Rats among many, many others are among this group of loyal riders. Huge riders such as Sammy Halbert, Brandan Bergan, Cameron Smith, Oliver Brindley and yes, THEMAN Brad The Bullet Baker have raced at this famous track over the years also.
Sadly last year the Mid America Speedway run came to an end however a super group of very passionate riders decided to make the show go on.
There's a group of some of the best Quad Riders in the Mid West who consist of Zachary Humphey, Dylan Cruzenberry, Roberts, Big Dave Wartham, Bobby Day, The Legend Kevan Schnebelt, Justin Haste among many, many other very important riders who's names are escaping me at the moment but nevertheless, these hero's took Mid America to the next level with RTR Motorplex. They have transformed this 14 mile track into a Mich bigger track, designed to accomodate Flat Track, Quad and Speedway Riders with a very cool circle track and then took it to the next level by designing one of the most amazing TT courses inside the Circle Track area who some say is the #1 TT tract on ANY circut. The TT tract also accommodates the Flat Track field. The reaction by the FT riders who have made it out to the RTR motorplex has been super fantastic. There are very few TT tracks available out there for either Quad riders or FT riders to practice on. For the couple of TT races the pros run during the ATF season such as Strugis and Indy, this is the place.
I personally believe that in time, RTR Motorplex will be one of the #1, not only practice tracks out there but a track that will become one of the AFT race spots on their circuit. There will be National Quad Racing events here at RTR for sure. They had one last season as a sample trial run which the feed back from the National Promotors was stellar. One promoter stated that the TT track they set up last season was the best TT track they have raced on the entire year. What a great shot in the arm for the guys trying to make this track a reality.
I say keep up the great work fellas, you are moving onto something huge here. Feel free to check out they're Motorplex Site on Face Book for further information and the Schedule.
