Eric Ebert is a contemporary artist whose work explores the tension between chaos and control through dense, looping abstractions and emotionally charged forms. His paintings are populated with fragmented figures, erratic rhythm, and a restrained palette β visual expressions of internal pressure and layered identity.
Part of the catalyst of Ebertβs practice is a quiet homage to his late father, also an artist, with whom he shared a complex and often strained relationship. Each piece becomes both a reckoning and a reverence β a way to process, honor, and extend the unspoken dialogue between them.
Drawing from subconscious mark-making, symbolic repetition, and the language of crowds and isolation, Ebertβs work invites reflection rather than resolution. Based in Indianapolis, his evolving body of work continues to investigate the spaces between memory, emotion, and expression.
