I released a solo album in June '23. It reached a milestone today as it crossed the 100,000 mark on Spotify. This was one of the goals for the record, and I'm really happy to announce it has been achieved.
The record was made on a shoestring budget my myself and friend/producer/musician Cliff Ritchey. We had some amazing players on it: Bob Lizik, Will Navalon, Nate Bennet and Ryan Koch, who also engineered. Mastered by Chad Evans of Gaither fame. With backing vocals by Sherri Thornton.
There have been many streams on various digital platforms like Apple Music, Amazon, etc, etc, including a lot of Shazams! But the original goal and hope was for this tiny record to get 100k plays on Spotify. And we did it. No record company, barely any promotion, and the songs have played in nations and cities around the globe. Amsterdam, San Paulo, Berlin, New York, Brazil, Mexico, and even Indiana and Michigan.
