Finally made some time to sit down and paint using a new confections palette called ✨complexion✨
I normally use liquid watercolors and play with green, blues, and purples, so this piece and pan set really took me out of my comfort zone.

One week out from the total solar eclipse! I created two pieces to reflect this once in a lifetime event that will be in a silent auction at the Shelby Community Band concert on Sunday, April 7th!

The two pieces are opposite takes on the event. This first one captures the typical golden rays of the sun peeking out from behind the moon. I’ve been a little stained glass obsessed lately, and so this one has a border that plays with that idea.

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted. We’ll attribute that to going back to work full time. Did you know I’m actually a music teacher by day?! Theater Director by evenings. Artist by midnight.
Oh, and I have a toddler and a 4 month old.
