Something new has popped up at Arts for Learning Indiana! We’re excited to introduce our Free Little Art Studio — a place where creativity is meant to be shared. Stop by to take an art supply when you need one or leave something behind to inspire the next artist. No cost, no trade required — just creativity, community, and the joy of making!

And this little studio is truly a community creation! 💛 It was built by our incredible volunteer Tom Laird, artwork design by Teaching Artist Matt DeLoughery, and brought to life with paint by YOU — our community — during our June Open House!

📍 Find it outside Arts for Learning Indiana at 3328 E. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201 in the garden area at the side of the building.

Take what you need. Give what you can. Make something wonderful. ✨

And when you create something, tag us Arts for Learning so we can see what you make!

Congrats to Washington Irving and Thomas Gregg Neighborhood school on significant growth in student reading scores on IREAD! We have been proud to partner with both schools over the past few years to support their educators, curriculum and an arts-integrated community approach to learning. We are thrilled to see positive gains at both schools and know that creatively working together to meet students' needs benefits everyone! https://www.wishtv.com/news/near-eastside-innovation-school-reading-scores/?fbclid=IwY2xjawT8NO5wZG9mBWV4dG4DYWVtAjEwAGJyaWQRMXZtNG9zUGIzSUVTa050YXlzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeXS6HYgjmeSBFUzn1xS6oG7rVzutgI2jPmw3UaSOSYEqVQnDtY-y-DXAXBCM_aem_6rPZaP2lOmWOswzfc32ZcA&mc_cid=5273546f9d&mc_eid=c5b9bbbe83

Big learning starts with our littlest learners! Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes as our Arts for Learning Teaching Artists take part in WolfTrap certification training, preparing to bring meaningful arts experiences to babies, toddlers and pre-k.

As Central Indiana’s WolfTrap affiliate, we’re part of a nationally recognized approach to early childhood learning that uses the performing arts to spark curiosity, imagination and connection. Through movement, music, storytelling, puppetry, role play and other multisensory experiences, Teaching Artists learn how to meet very young children right where they are and turn play into powerful opportunities for learning and development.

This is just a little glimpse of the thoughtful preparation that happens before our Teaching Artists ever step into a classroom or early learning space. Because even our tiniest learners deserve opportunities to explore, create, connect and discover through the arts. 💛
