Kind of a sad day for me. After over 20 years, Phototac.com was taken offline today. As many of you know, Phototac.com served as a hub for my freelance photography business, containing thousands of photos from Indiana fires and departments. Since I've been full-time with Pike Township, my freelance career has fallen by the wayside, but I've kept phototac online over the years so people would have access to the archived photos.
Unfortunately, I am tired of the expense.
For the meantime, I will still keep the MESA/PSC feed online, as long as I have the Patreon supporters to keep it going.
Thank you to everyone that supported me in my journey and be safe.

Feed is back up. Three days without internet because AT&T couldn't find the problem. Tech support said the problem was "resolved" while the techs in the field said it wasn't even close to being resolved. Way to communicate, guys. You suck.

This is one of the most tragic and heartbreaking things I have ever read. My heart goes out to this firefighter.

A mother and her three children have all died following a fire at the home of a Chicago firefighter in the Montclare neighborhood.

This one hurts. Chief Bobby Halton passed away yesterday. He was a dear friend who was directly responsible for helping my photography career progress - and more importantly - helping me carve my niche in fire & safety. No matter how busy he was, he always found the time to check in on me or send me a quick text to make sure I was doing ok. In the early days, I was the only freelance photographer allowed at FDIC and he was directly responsible for the exposure and support I received.
Rest in peace, my friend. I will never forget the time and support you always gave me. -Spider Man FDIC
