David Kitzmiller is a distinguished, award-winning author from the heartland of Indiana, having engaged with the written word since the age of twelve. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive ability to convey complex emotions and the pain in life in a way that resonates deeply with readers. His work is a reflection of a life fully lived, encompassing the scars, lessons, and occasional triumphs that accompany it.

David Kitzmiller is the creator of the "Dealing with the Toaster" series, which includes the memoirs "Born with a Toaster in the Bathroom" (2024) and "A Step Away from Bathing with a Toaster" (2023), with plans for two additional titles in the near future. Accompanying these memoirs are his poetry collections, "Poems from the Toaster: Vol. I" (2024) and "Vol. II" (2025), which examine the complexities of everyday life with humor, honesty, and emotional depth.

He publishes his work through Norman Kitzmiller Publications, a company he established in 2022 in memory of his brother. This platform also manages his music rights, enabling him to express his literary work in various artistic forms.

In the realm of music, Kitzmiller releases his works through Ace of Toaster Records, commencing with "Recorded Songs from the Toaster, Vol. I" (2025), a compilation of acoustic ballads that reflect the same candid and authentic voice as his writing. In late 2025, he plans to release "Burnt Songs from the Toaster," an album featuring heavier metal influences that will showcase an alternative facet of his creative expression.

When not engaged in writing or recording, Kitzmiller travels extensively, gathering stories and experiences that enrich his work. Mexico holds particular significance for him, as its vibrant culture and rich history have profoundly influenced both his writing and music.

At home, he resides with his family, four inquisitive cats, and four loyal dogs. He also has strong opinions regarding pizza, asserting that toppings should be placed on top of the cheese, except for deep-dish.

Through his literary and musical endeavors, David Kitzmiller continues to explore the human experience with unflinching honesty. His work directly addresses themes of beauty, chaos, love, heartbreak, and absurdity.
