Channel 2 Action News has learned prosecutors with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office have filed a motion to revoke the probation for hip hop superstar Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams.

A document obtained by Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne says, “Since sentencing, the Defendant has engaged in conduct that threatens the safety of witnesses and prosecutors, compromises ongoing legal proceedings, and warrants immediate revocation of probation.”

The motion says, “the integrity of this court, and the safety of those involved in this prosecution are at stake.”

The YSL case began initially as an indictment that charged 28 people, including rapper Young Thug, with conspiring to violate Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Nine other defendants took plea deals before the trial began, including rapper Gunna.

The trial was the longest criminal trial in Georgia history. It took 10 months alone just to select the jury and testimony didn’t begin until a year ago in Nov. 2023.

Many gathered across on Saturday to demand justice following a grisly discovery of charred bones, shoes and clothing at a suspected dr*g c*rtel training ground.

Demonstrations took place in the western state of where the remains were found, and in cities across the country, including the capital - - and San Luis Potosi, according to AFP journalists and local press reports.

Families searching for some of the more than 100,000 people missing in Mexico discovered the bodies on March 5 at a ranch where forced recruits are thought to have been held.

The Guerreros Buscadores collective — a group dedicated to locating missing people - described the site as an “extermination center” with “clandestine crematoriums,” causing shock in a country that has become inured to spiraling c-rtel-related v-lence.

Since October 2023, groups searching for missing Mexicans have reported the discovery of six more alleged clandestine crematoriums in Jalisco.

Hundreds of graves have been discovered elsewhere in the country.

Eugene “Big U” Henley, a Crips leader has been accused of murder, kidnapping, robbery, extortion and fraud, federal authorities announced on Wednesday. His alleged victims “were required to ‘check in’” with Henley before arriving in the city in order to obtain “protection,” according the 107-page federal complaint unveiled. Among those Henley allegedly extorted were professional athletes and musicians, the complaint said. Federal authorities linked Henley’s “Big U Enterprise” to a “mafia-like organization” that relied on his “stature and long-standing association with the Rollin’ 60s and other street gangs to intimidate businesses and individuals”

Following a years-long FBI investigation, federal authorities have accused Henley of kidnapping and fatally shooting a young rapper in the face and leaving his body in the Las Vegas desert over perceived disrespect and directing the robbery of an unlicensed L.A. ma*****na dispensary that had stopped making extortion payments. Henley also allegedly defrauded companies, donors, athletes and celebrities — including professional basketball player Draymond Green and former NBA MVP Shaquille O’Neal — persuading them to donate to his charities and later allegedly transferring the money to his own personal bank accounts. Authorities have also accused Henley of fraudulently obtaining funding from the Gang Reduction and Youth Development program overseen by the L.A. mayor’s office. Via LATimes
