sneak peek of some wares now available at Darlin’ Hair + Home on Virginia Ave in Fountain Square for their November artist spotlight.
a few ashtrays (with pipe rests 😉), spoon rests, jars, a couple cups, and a lamp. all wheel-thrown and reduction fired to cone 10.

been a while since i put my whole face in this feed. feels like the day for it 🤗
my name is eliza, but my friends call me liza. i’m the maker here! do i have a living room? a dining room? nah but i do have a humble abode lil studio that i 🫶🫶🫶
i love playing in the mud and teaching others to do the same. i might even enjoy sharing this art form most of all, teaching others some tricks to success that i’ve learned along the way. i think gate keeping is pretty lame. there’s room for all of us, ya know?
monetizing something you love feels weird sometimes — i’m still working out how i feel about that and where i want to go with all this.

heyhihello and happy Sunday to you :) i’m excited to share that i will be teaching my first class with here soon!
throwing tall and narrow vessels are some of my favorite forms to throw. it is so satisfying to me.
the aim of this class is to teach you my tips and tricks for accomplishing this. i would describe this as more of a technique focused course suitable for middle (intermediate) class throwers, which hopefully will get you moving towards putting your own spin on whatever larger vessels you’re seeking to make!

available for purchase in my online shop: a very petite lamp, with unfinished brass hardware and a vintage inspired plug. the surface is mostly a pure white with flashes of a pinkish-brown haze and dark speckles. pipe runs from neck to base and is secured on the bottom. the bottom is felted to protect surfaces.
15in tall with lampshade, which is clip-on. base is 5in at the widest point. cord is about 6-1/2ft in length. all hardware and wiring is new. see the last photo where dexter provides some scale. :)
