🐎 SLEEPY HOLLOW SUNDAY: Meet the Horse

As we count down to the world premiere of Joshua L. Peugh’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” each Sunday we’re taking you behind the scenes to explore some of the artistry and people bringing Sleepy Hollow to life.

First up: the horse head, created for the production by Monkey Boys Productions.

Monkey Boys Productions is a multi-medium production company specializing in puppets, props, creatures, costumes, practical effects, and entertainment for film, television, and the stage. Co-founders Marc Petrosino and Michael Latini are Emmy-nominated designers, puppeteers, and fabricators whose work spans everything from Sesame Street and The Muppets to Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Little Shop of Horrors, and more.

We’re thrilled to have their artistry become part of the world of Sleepy Hollow. And trust us, this horse is even more impressive when you see it come to life. 👀

Zay and Julie Russell are back in the studio continuing to build the roles of Ichabod Crane and Katrina Van Tassel in Joshua L. Peugh’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.”

From movement to character to all the little details in between, the story continues to take shape with each rehearsal. 👀

✨ Dance Kaleidoscope has been awarded an Arts Organization Support grant from the Indiana Arts Commission for our 2026/27 Season!

This grant provides annual artistic and administrative operating support, helping organizations like Dance Kaleidoscope continue creating, performing, and bringing the arts to communities across Indiana. We are incredibly thankful to the Indiana Arts Commission for its investment in our work as we move FORWARD into our landmark 55th season.

As Indiana Arts Commission Chair Dave Haist shared, “This is an exciting time for Indiana’s creative ecosystem.” We’re proud to be part of that ecosystem and grateful for the support that helps make our work possible.
