2 weekends ago, Shortridge Wind Symphony made history again by becoming the first IPS ensemble ever to achieve a GOLD rating “with distinction” in Group One at ISSMA contest! The band received PERFECT scores from two of the four judges and then near-perfect scores from the other two. The Shortridge Wind Ensemble also received a gold rating on Friday with a very strong performance of their own!

Congratulations to all these hard-working students. They did an outstanding job representing IPS with their maturity, professionalism, and artistry!

🎶JAMFEST🎶

Today about 90 students from 5 different schools came together to perform for each other and to jam together. We encouraged kids to get up on stage anytime they felt moved to do so and by the end of the event, nearly every kid was up on stage either playing an instrument or singing or both! What a fantastic event!

We decided that next year we will need a full WEEK for JAMFEST!

Thank you to Music Will for sponsoring this event and feeding everyone and thanks to Arsenal Technical High School and Arsenal Tech Band BOOSTERS for use of the stage and all of the audio equipment.

Great choir concert tonight at Arsenal Technical High School! The students put on a 50’s show complete with poodle skirts and hit songs from that era. And they had a rockin’ live band, too! Congrats to the choir students and their director Miss Kipp!
