Street Style Studio is officially in session Create Art Studio!! 😎 These truly cool and creative artists have been exploring graffiti, street art, and murals- and how cool is it that we can witness all of these forms of art right in our Broad Ripple neighborhood!?! 🌇

We’ve made our mark around our community, all while taking in the beautiful art all around us. We’ve worked on creating our own original graffiti fonts, made stencils, and even tried out some awesome kid friendly spray paints! These talented kids are always up for an art adventure! We loved observing and talking about the murals by BliceEdwards and Koda Witsken Silberstein- both are just a quick walk away from our studio front door!

We can’t wait for tomorrow and all the cool, street influenced art we will uncover next!! 🛹🆒🎨😍

🌸 Petals in Motion: Abstract Floral Play with Betsy Becher 🌸

Looking for a creative escape this summer? Join us on Sunday, July 26th, for a relaxed and inspiring afternoon with fine artist Betsy Becher as we explore the beauty of abstract florals through color, movement, and intuition.

Whether you’re a seasoned painter or picking up a brush for the very first time, this workshop is designed to help you loosen up, experiment, and enjoy the process. Betsy will guide you through simple composition techniques, layering methods, and expressive details using acrylic paint pens as you create artwork that feels uniquely your own.

As your painting evolves, you’ll learn how to identify your favorite sections and transform them into 1–2 finished 5x7” matted pieces—perfect for gifting, framing, or adding a little beauty to your home.

Betsy brings a thoughtful blend of artistry and design expertise to her teaching. A former interior designer turned full-time abstract painter, her work is known for its joyful use of color, texture, and movement. We’re thrilled to welcome her to Create and can’t wait to learn from her!

Join Lindsey Canull of for a slow, creative summer afternoon exploring the beautiful art of natural indigo dyeing as part of our Adult Summer Camp series at Create.

Using traditional Japanese shibori folding and binding techniques, you’ll create your own set of four hand-dyed napkins, learning how to fold, twist, bind, dip, and reveal stunning one-of-a-kind patterns from an authentic indigo vat.

Good things really do come in small packages! Join fine artist Jessica Green Artwork for an evening of creativity, color, and all things adorably miniature at our Teeny Tiny’s: Mini Masterpieces Workshop on Wednesday, June 24th from 6–7:30 PM.

We are still walking on absolute sunshine ☀️ over the confidence, creativity, and style that was on display during our epic Create Camper’s Fashion Runway Show!! 🕶️ 👠🎨🤩🥰

Our weeklong Art of Fashion camp was the absolute best way to kick off a summer of sold-out art camps! Every gem, ribbon, bag, jacket, and accessory were modeled by our squad of tremendous future fashion designers! Oh, and their final fashion challenge was to make runway ready Counselor Couture looks for each of our fun and fearless leaders!

We loved turning our front porch on Ferguson into the picture perfect runway. A huge round of applause goes to our biggest fans- our campers’ families and friends!! 👏 Thank you for bringing your high energy vibes and support for each and every artist!! It was just the best wrap up a fabulous week!

We can’t wait until next week when our Street Style Studio artists hit the scene…but for now we are still soaking up all the joy these amazing young artists provided to us all at Create!

☀️ Little Pieces of Sunshine ☀️

Looking for a creative way to spend your Saturday evening? Join us at Create for a beautiful introduction to the Japanese art of Kinusaiga—often called “fabric painting”—and discover how tiny scraps of fabric can become something truly magical.

No sewing experience needed! In fact, there’s no sewing at all.
Using colorful textiles, simple tools, and a prepared design, you’ll learn how to layer and tuck fabric to create a glowing sun-inspired artwork filled with texture, warmth, and summer vibes. Think patchwork sunshine, golden skies, and the simple joy of making something by hand.

Leading the evening is , a passionate art educator with more than 20 years of experience inspiring creativity in young people throughout Indianapolis. Tanya loves working with fibers and helping makers transform simple materials into something extraordinary, and she’s excited to share this unique art form with the Create community.
