There is nothing like a smokin' good blues guitarist...

I was fortunate enough to see Stevie Ray Vaughan at Deer Creek two days before the helicopter crash took his life. I was also fortunate enough to be Gene Deer's friend from 14 years old when he came to my apartment warming party and started jamming on his guitar for us. Gene left this earth on January 4, 2024.

Gene idolized Stevie, and was the heart and soul of the annual tribute show we have thrown for 25+ years now (have lost count). He always excelled at this show, and played at his finest.

This Thursday, we have a strong lineup of amazing musicians paying homage to two of the best bluesman ever. Joining us from California will be Gene's son Jesse, who will be ripping the cords just like his dad taught him. It is going to be a very special production, and we hope you can join us along with Stevie and Gene who will be looking down from the blues heaven above.

Josh Holland tonight 7:00-9:00

This is one you don't want to miss!

I first saw Josh playing Lovango on St. John last Winter. His deep, gravely voice immediately reminded me of Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam. Then he played Black, and I was completely blown away. After his show I invited him to play Rathskeller, which he did in July, and the entire place was blown away.

Please come out and experience Josh's show tonight. You won't be disappointed!
