Sad to hear about the passing of David Hockney a few days ago. His bright, bold style has always been a joy and the evolution of his work is inspiring. A vibrant one as tribute this weekend.

Just let this one happen. Been a long week and I’ve got another long one ahead, but it’s nice to relax and unwind. Gonna spend the afternoon finishing the book I’ve been reading. Thanks for the kind feedback on prints on last week’s post- I’ll keep you all in the loop as things start to come together.

Feeling a little under the weather. Here’s a bit of a darker one. Been looking into getting some prints made of some of these pieces- is that something you would be interested in? What work so far this year has been your favorite?

Thankful for the long weekend and some time to unwind. Back to something more abstract this time around- the weeks have felt long lately and I feel like I haven’t been able to recharge. Needed one where I could just get something out and let it happen. I’ve been doing some birdwatching lately and it has offered a moment of peace when things feel like a lot.

Pushed this one around a lot. Sat with it. Set it aside and came back. Pushed a little more. Still not sure if it’s where I want it to be, but this is where it will be for now. Feeling odd and unsure this week and maybe it comes across here for better or worse ha. Will be coming back to this one.

I lied, one more sky to round it out. It’s been a long week. Needed some peace and I think this one worked out well. Have you ever had a dream about someone that totally changed the way you think about them in real life? Weird stuff huh☁️

Last sky for a bit I think. Had some crazy clouds Monday after the storm that I did my best to capture. I’ve been enjoying these, but I feel like I need to get some more energy out. We’ll see what the next one brings!

Another sky take- not sure if this one worked as well as last week’s, but I like how demanding they are. It takes a lot to get the push and pull right to make it seem believable I think. Regardless, I’m having fun with these.

Bit of a late one- spent the weekend in Indianapolis hanging at for Record Store Day with the gang. A much needed break at one of my favorite places with my favorite people. Bit of a different one here- lots of push and pull. Also, big thanks for making last week’s “Splashdown” my most shared/viewed post ever! I truly appreciate everyone who takes the time to look and read about what I’ve got going on. It really means a lot.

Felt the need to get something down to commemorate this. There’s just something about the wonder of the whole Artemis II mission that has me feeling emotional. This is what we’re here for. This awe and sense that we can do things that don’t even seem possible. There’s a lot going on in the world that isn’t right, a lot that doesn’t make sense, but this event feels like a tiny bit of hope. It feels like a reason to be alive.
