Preparations for InConJunction looked a little different this year. On Tuesday, July 7th, our quartermaster went to the InConJunction storage unit to grab supplies so registration could get things set up. When he got to the unit, he discovered that our normally very packed 10x10 unit was much emptier than usual. Sometime between February (our best recollection of the last time we were in it) and last Tuesday, we had been robbed.
Almost all of our AV equipment was taken. Speakers, microphones, soundboards, cables and more were gone. Consuite took a big hit, and not even Fun Police was spared, as the thieves took the red cart to haul our equipment off. The approximate value sits between $7,000 and $9,000.
A police report was filed, and insurance claims are being made- Insurance and the storage company's records and statements are a story for another day.
Thankfully, we had a few days to gather equipment from friends of the convention. InConJunction would like to thank The Shake Ups , Luisanna Rodriguez, Tony Troxell , and everyone who offered their aid. Flora Delisle bought equipment of their own to replace missing items. We couldn't have put on the show without you, and are glad to consider you all friends of the convention for forever and ever.
Please keep an eye out on the page for fundraising and benefit shows!
