I wouldn’t say I’m good at portraits.. but I started working on them more a year or two ago when I started exploring the namesake of street names from my childhood neighborhood, Irvington. Looking back at them, I can see my progression and I’ve started enjoying them a ‘little’ more.. I was really happy with how this one turned out, particularly his nose, tie and right arm (the viewers left).

I had the wonderful opportunity to make a portrait card (and stickers!) for the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library in downtown Indianapolis! I’m so excited to get the chance to do a portrait of such an influential person from my great city! The museum & library is open for visitation but be sure to schedule ahead! If you feel more comfortable staying home, they have a virtual tour as well! So if you’re in the mood for something new to explore in Indy, please stop by and check them out (and buy a cutie Kurt card or sticker as a souvenir😉)! https://www.vonnegutlibrary.org
