This new 30-minute documentary explores college student food insecurity and the basic needs challenges that affect persistence, well-being, and completion. Through student stories and expert perspectives, the film asks an urgent question: What happens when students are doing everything they can to succeed, but hunger, housing, transportation, and financial stress keep getting in the way?
The premiere screening will be followed by a 45-minute panel discussion featuring Carolyn Gentle-Genitty, PhD, CEO, Attendance USA; Jennifer Plumlee, Ed.D., Vice President for Student Success and Engagement at Marian University; Mya Bell, Purdue University Northwest MBA student and advocate featured in the film; and Dave Miner, producer of Learning Hungry. Additional panelists may be announced.
Join us for an important community conversation about how campuses, advocates, policymakers, and partners can work together so no student has to choose between their education and their next meal.
