Vanity Rex is the corn cryptid of Indianapolis, a creature formed from the loins of Dolly Parton and the Babadook. They’re the monthly host of VCM at Kan-Kan Cinema and also one half of S**t Show, one of Indy’s most infamous cult alt variety shows.

📣 Groovy news, gorehounds! This ghoul has clawed her way to the big screen with her very own screening of Evil Dead II at Kan-Kan Cinema & Bar — one night only! 💀

It’s one of my all-time faves and now I get to drag you into the cabin with me! Expect an evening soaked in camp, chainsaws and killer commentary—plus jokes so bad they make a Deadite groan for mercy.

I’ll be summoning my Ash Williams act before the film to really rev the night up! Boomstick? Check. Gore? Duh! Ban puns? Absolutely.

So come on down, my pretties—let’s make this screening a night to dis-member!

We'll have a Vincent Price–themed costume contest judged by Victoria, a pre-show conversation, an intermission for meet/greet/signing, and then THEATRE OF BLOOD on the big screen.

Known as the Mynx of Musicality, Rose Whip is an award-winning performer, instructor, host, and producer straight out of the Show-Me State. With their timing and musicality, Rose has evolved into a radical and unapologetic force. They have appeared at festivals including the Nashville Burlesque Festival, Kansas City Nerdlesque Festival, Oklahoma City Burlesque Festival, Toronto Burlesque Festival as well as headlined the Bourbontown Burlesque Festival in Louisville, just to name a few. They embark annually on their, “How The Midwest Was Whipped” tour, hitting cities all over the country. In 2024, they attended and competed at the Burlesque Hall of Fame for ‘Best Debut’!
Rose's tenacity is not only celebrated but shifts the way audiences experience burlesque.
