A few months ago, we had the pleasure of hosting this year’s slam qualifier to help form the team representing Indy at the 2026 Southern Fried National Poetry Slam in Orlando. And if you remember that night, then you know—the poets did not come to play.

Several 10s later, a packed room, and enough energy to keep us amped, Indy’s newest slam team was born: 🎤🔥

This month, we’re excited to feature all five incredible poets as they gear up for competition. If you’ve been looking for good poetry and an even better time, pencil us in next Thursday.
