We were just on Clifton Street at Write-On the Poetry Spot—hoping folks would show up to what we knew could be a great thing for our scene. 11 years later, we are completely changed by what TPOM is and has become. Wow.

Closing this chapter doesn’t feel real and is anything but easy for us. Yet, we are doing it with so much love, thought and care at the center.

We love you all immensely, and we thank you for loving us—for showing up all those years ago and for continuing to support us in such beautiful ways along the journey.

The Send Off Series is a celebration of the journey, the art, the moments, the memories, and the lifelong bonds we’ve built through That Peace Open Mic. It’s a celebration for all of us.

We hope to see you there as we honor what TPOM has meant to and for our city.

TPOM has been our hub, our home, our safe creative space—an Indianapolis gem completely shaped by the love, art, and support of this beloved community. We cannot wait to celebrate eleven incredible years with every single one of you who’ve been a part of this journey.

In honor & homage to the genre that inspired our beginning, we invite you to write a love letter to poetry. What has it given you? Carried you through? Made possible in your life?
