Nights of Yore

Nights of Yore Tabletop Role Playing Streamlined. http://tee.pub/lic/6KSj-8L6-cQ Welcome Gamers! For those times and more you need a casual one night game. No problem!

We love Role Playing Games (RPGs) but there are a lot of aspects that keep others from joining in the fun. Inevitably we all have friends that are new to gaming or a couple of regulars that couldn't make it to our normally scheduled classic tabletop RPG. Nights of Yore is a great way to introduce new players or to take a break from your regular game. We hope you'll like Nights of Yore enough that

it will become your regular game! The Gist

Nights of Yore is designed and inspired by the idea of streamlining the game to the point that anyone from first time players to veteran gamers can jump in easily. Stuff & Things

You won't need

expensive books
character sheets
dice
pencils
calculators
miniatures
dungeon mats. You will need

Laptop or Desktop for the Storyteller to run the game
TV, Second Monitor, or Projector for the Tabletop
Smartphones or Tablets for the Players

Fun for Everyone

The rules are simple and easily explained or just jump right in and learn as you go. And anyone can be the Storyteller after running through our Storyteller tutorial. New Adventures Every Time

Games are intended to be one off adventures to be played in a single sitting. This gives Players the opportunity to try out many different character races, classes, and alignments. Up to 640 combinations! So no worries if a friend or two can't make it every time you get together. And it's easy to add a friend just swinging through for the night. Everyone should have the opportunity to join in the fun. There's room for the Storyteller and up to 6 Players! Create a New Campaign in Minutes

Campaigns are randomly generated for every adventure. The Storyteller creates a game code the Players will need to join then completes a brief questionnaire. This will determine how long the game is, quantity and length of areas and dungeons, and difficulty. The Storyteller looks over the timeline of areas and dungeons and forms a storyline to guide the Players through.*
It takes the weeks of game building down to a few minutes!

*storyline creativity not included ;)

New Dungeons Every Time

Totally hate one of the dungeons generated for your campaign? With the Dungeon Generator you can create new dungeons instantly and save the one that suits your game. Dungeonables

Treasures, traps, items, NPCs (Non-Playable Characters), and even Battles will be yours to command with our Dragon-Drop interface. Add surprises along the path, in battle, through private messages, or gifted from NPCs at any time. New Characters Every Time

While the Storyteller generates the campaign the players can generate their characters. Players open their Nights of Yore: Player App, enter the game code the Storyteller created, then press the "Generate Character" button. The Player App will generate your unique character based on:

8 Classes
8 Races
5 Alignments
Female or Male
Name your character and your ready to adventure! Spend the next few minutes familiarizing yourself with your stats, abilities, attacks, and equipment. Share with your comrades and get to know their characters as well. Your Storyteller will be ready to start before you know it! Show Me Your Sheets

Character Sheets are accessible for the Storyteller and Players at any time. These Skills Are Made for Checking

The Storyteller and Players can easily make skill checks secretly or publicly. New Battles Every Time

There are a host of Enemies, Monsters, Mini-Bosses, Bosses, and NPCs for the Storyteller to use along the way. The Battle Builder lets you design and layout battles ahead of time. With our Monster Dugout you can have additional Monsters or NPCs on deck for quick and easy mid-battle surprises or story line events. Simply Dragon-Drop a Monster or NPC from the Monster Dugout on to the field and watch your players freak out! Feeling lazy? The Random Encounter Generator gives you the option to start random encounters with controlled difficulty at the push of a button from anywhere in the game. LOL

Messenger enables the Storyteller to send messages, items, and images to all or some of the players. Players can trade items to balance inventory or send messages to work out secret strategies without sharing with the Storyteller. yoreTunes

Jukebox allows the Storyteller and each player to control the audio from their devices. Adjust individual volumes of our High-Fidelity Music, Ambiance, and Sound Effects. Have music and ambiance come from the TV, stereo, or surround sound system and sound effects can come from each player's devices. Hear and feel your sword slashes from your device while immersed in the music and ambiance of the world. A fully interactive experience. Nights of Yore is the easiest way for you and your friends to have all of the thrills of a Tabletop Role Playing Game without any of the hassles! Share in the tales of Nights of Yore!

This little pixelated button doesn't look like much but it's what connects the voice of our Player's Characters as well as NPCs and Enemies via our Storytellers in online adventures.
Tonight I was able to get Push to Talk Voice Chat working in our app across Android and PC simultaneously.
Big things on our not too distant horizon, friends!

Ever wanted a sampler on deck for your tabletop role-playing game?
How about with 4 banks of 16 pads, separate Music and Ambience playlists, and all with synced variable intensity?

Had to share the progress on our new Player App. We're rebuilding the entire game from the ground up with everything we've learned and with a lot of new tools. There's a lot left to tweak here but it's a start. Please drop any feedback, thoughts, or questions in the comments!
The song is something I made for a recent comp on bandcamp.
